Mom’s worth

I collaborated with Personal Creations on this post. It is not a sponsored post.

Sometimes we can forget how much moms do for us. Stay-at-home moms can have it even worse due to the general opinion of what they really do. It’s not uncommon for someone who hears you’re a stay-at-home mom to think you just lounge around all day. It’s actually quite far from the truth!

This is why Personal Creations did a breakdown of common tasks stay-at-home moms do on a typical day. Of course it may vary by household, but it paints a good picture of just how much mom has to juggle.

For example, mom has to rise early to prepare breakfast for everyone, run errands throughout the day and do various maintenance tasks like cleaning, gardening, and scheduling. Mom doesn’t clock in at any hourly rate each day, but the tasks she has to do are paired up with jobs from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Check out all the laundry list of tasks for a stay-at-home mother below–perhaps it will grow your appreciation for moms everywhere.

The moms who work outside of the home also have to do all these jobs as well. The “lucky” ones get help from others(family, nannies and housekeepers) but for most they do everything.

Being a woman is hard, period(no pun intended)! Especially when your value is measured by how well you cook, clean or maintain your household. All that pressure is unnecessary. If anything happened to you, your children will not miss how clean the house was or how you could make everything from scratch. They will miss the time spent with you, the hugs and the laughter. Same goes for the children, if you can call your mom or visit her, do it. Or just give her a hug.

If you are feeling extra appreciative, you can send mom a gift to let her know too!
