DIY Mini-lampshade using a champagne glass

Christmas is less than one week away. We never really celebrated the holiday like its done  by most people. When I was in primary school I often enjoyed decorating our living room by taping the ribbon from one wall to the other. I am most certain that my father was pretty annoyed by my handiwork because his head would get caught up in the decorations. My mother on the other hand encouraged my creativity, she would buy the decorations. We never had a tree and did not know anyone who had one. The best we could expect were new clothes, but sometimes school uniforms were what we got. For someone who got presents for Christmas every year, my story sounds bad but the reality is that as children we were happy that it was Christmas. We would get to wear our best clothes, have the best food(usually chicken and rice) and dance to music. My parents were busiest during holidays, my father was a policeman and my mother is a nurse so we hardly got any big meals except when we were visiting my grandparents.

When I became a teenager and was able to cook, I would cook all my favourite dishes on Christmas day something that I still do. Safe to say that is my only Christmas tradition. I am not going to be able to cook this year but I decided to make some centerpieces anyway, I enjoy it. I came across these mini-lampshades and they looked easy enough to make. Actually they looked pretty similar to the angels that Leo’s sabbath school class made so it was easy to come up with a tutorial.

To make these mini-lampshades you will need:
