Homemade Boogie Wipes

My son had a runny nose starting last week and throughout the weekend. He was really unhappy and generally fussy. There were many sleepless nights for everyone and he hated having the boogies removed.

Everything I used irritated him and I went to the pharmacy and they had a small pack of boogie wipes for $8. Pinterest to the rescue! I found a tutorial for making reusable boogie wipes with things I already had in the house.

You will need

1 receiving blanket or piece of soft fabric
Container to put the wipes, I used an empty wipes container
1 cup hot water
A pinch of salt
1 Tablespoon of Aloe Vera (gel or liquid)
2 Vitamin E capsules
3 – 4 drops of lavender essential oil
2 teaspoons witch hazel

Cut a receiving blanket into 6 inch squares.
Combine all the ingredients in a container and soak the folded wipes. Place in the wipes container.

If you do not have any fabric to use you can use paper towels instead. I will be keeping these handy as we head for cooler temperatures.
