Vase on Wood Wall Hanging

The past two days have been the hottest days this summer, at least I think so. It is so hot that sometimes I wonder if the AC is working. I wish it would rain, just to cool it down. And guess who wants to play outside? I can not Leo go play by  himself  so I would have to take him too! Uggh!

So my projects have to be short, something under 10 minutes. But I just decided I want to make myself a sweater, ! Oh well, we’ll see.

After I made my shoe rack, I had a piece of wood that I had left over. Could not quite decide what to do with it. Thought about turning it into a chopping board but I really did not need one until I saw someone made a vase a attached it to a wood with a clamp. I already had most of the things except for the clamp and ceiling hooks. I used an empty coffee jar I have had for a while and I still have a lot of chalkboard paint. I painted the piece of wood, I did not measure it so you can use what you have. I screwed on the clamped with self drilling screws since I do not have a drill. Which is not so hard to do but if I had a drill would have opted for it.Then I screwed on the ceiling hooks. You can use an kind of hooks that you can find

Because I used chalk paint, I waited for the paint to cure before writing on it. If you use chalkboard paint, make sure you follow the instructions on the tin. I used cowpea leaves(munyemba) to decorate and I love it. The price is a bonus too.

P.S. You can use any type of vase or an old cup. If you dont want to use a clamp, you could nail the vase – depending on its material.
