Experiments and new hat pattern

2013 has been a good year so far except for the fact that I was sick every week of January. I have been experimenting with new things and am excited about where all this is going will be announcing shortly what I will be getting up to this year.

About two weeks ago I posted on Facebook that I was working on something, well here is what I was working on. I am taking a leap into fabric printing. Its exciting but hand printing is messy. I don’t know if I will ever do it again but here is what I ended up with. I printed on this fabric and eventually made place mats with the fabric. I dropped the fabric on the ground before it was dry that is why there is some speckles of paint where there is supposed to be none. Not happy but at the same time proud of myself for trying, I guess I will stick with digital printing for the future.

Call it lazy, but I like a project that I can work on in one day. That is why I make so many hats – I can make the Crochet beanie in one sitting and knitting always makes me smile. Here is another pattern for a knitted beanie, it is quite warm, perhaps too warm when it comes to Bermuda. What can I say I love hats.

If you would like to buy this pattern you can get it on here, Ravelry or Craftsy or you can buy the pre-made hat here.

And here is a baby blanket I made a few weeks ago that was quite easy to make, perhaps I will do a tutorial for it someday.

Wow, these look great – keep up the great work – you're already Fabric Printing better than most people who try! That baby blanket looks amazing – can't wait to see more updates 🙂
