Memory Quilt

My friend had a baby one and a half years ago and she is growing like weeds. She was the first baby I made stuff for, in a way her coming into this world inspired me. I was browsing the internet for ideas and I saw that you can make memory quilts with old clothes so I decided to do the same for Miss Vee.

So I took all the clothes that I wanted to memorialize  cut up the squares with pockets, words and so on. The challenge was that because I was working with worn knit clothes, it was kind of difficult to work with but eventually I came up with something I really like to see. Here are some of the pictures of the finished product:

I have seen other people work with t-shirts that your kids would get from school and it looks really cool.

This week I worked on a couple of things but have not had time to share them with you as yet, hopefully next week I will be able to do it.
