This is an easy DIY to make your own gel freshners either to keep or to gift. Here is what you will need:
- glass containers
- 4 packets unflavoured gelatine powder
- food colours
- 1 tsp salt
- essential oils
- Water
Boil one cup of water and dissolve the gelatine powder. Whisk briskly to avoid lumps. Add one cup of cold water and salt. The salt will prevent moulding.
Pour the dissolved gelatine mixture into the containers
Add a few drops of food color and essential oils of your choice. You can also add plastic flowers or beads before setting the gel. The one in the middle has some small beads inside.
Leave to set for overnight.
You can decorate the glass container by adding stickers and ribbon. I left mine as they were because they have a design that my camera could not pick.
