I have been introducing my son to solids over the last month and it has been good so far. I have wanted to give him mealie meal porridge but I was not sure how to do it because I do not want to give him sugar or salt. Mealie meal on its own is just bland and tasteless and for most people its an acquired taste.
I decided to add apple sauce and it worked.
Mealie Meal Porridge with Apple Sauce
Instructions
Make mealie meal porridge using this recipe. Do not add anything else just make the porridge using mealie meal and water.
Add two teaspoons of apple sauce and stir.
Leave to cool enough for baby to eat.
